The annual Auxiliary Chili Supper for Charity on Saturday, April 14th was a big success. Thank you to all who supported the event by cooking, serving, cleaning, making desserts, selling tickets, buying tickets, and advertising. All profit from the Chili Supper will benefit various Auxiliary programs, including (but not limited to) Wounded Warriors, Girls State, Special Olympics, Veterans and their families in need, and numerous other charitible programs. Your support is appreciated!!

Let's all welcome our warriors home by putting Yellow Ribbons all over our town. Businesses are asked to put a big yellow ribbon on their doors and everyone is asked to place a ribbon on a tree, the mailbox, or somewhere in your yard. In this small way we can say Welcome Home!!

The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, war-time veterans organization, devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is a not-for-profit community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members, men and women, in nearly 15,000 American Legion posts worldwide. Our motto is Veterans Serving Veterans!

The American Legion Auxiliary is the largest patriotic women's organization in the world. Our mission is to support The American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military, and their families, both at home and abroad. For God and country, we advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace, and security.
